Digital modes and logging

You'll be able to

describe FT8 and other digital modes, and keep a log and confirm contacts.

Digital modes connect a radio to a computer sound card. sends short, structured messages in 15-second cycles and decodes signals well below the noise. PSK31 and support typed conversation. Hams each contact with date, time in , frequency, mode, call sign, and report, and confirm contacts by mailing QSL cards or online through systems such as ARRL Logbook of The World.
